Ice Storm Damage Update

With significant power outages throughout the Village and most of the power restored last night, there are still homes without power today. Duke is estimating it could be Sunday before power is restored. For residents who need special assistance, please contact our Police Dispatch at 531-2040.

Our Maintenance Department spent the bulk of yesterday salting the streets then removing fallen limbs and trees that were blocking streets.

With limited staff, beginning today, we will be providing dual services of collecting leaves and chipping brush related to the ice storm damage. Our priority right now is our leaf collection and even non-Maintenance Department employees are assisting with our clean-up efforts.

If you must place brush at the street, please place your storm damaged brush out as early as possible and separately away from your leaf piles. Place it at the street with the cut end facing street, leave branches as long as possible and don’t pile your brush. Providing all these services at the same time has our staff and equipment stretched thin so we need to be efficient in the delivery of these services.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the Administration office at 531-8675.
